Energy Monitoring

All Types of Metering, Power Quality, AMR, Billing

Energy Monitoring Specialists

Faced with rising costs, businesses increasingly need to better understand how they are using energy. By measuring and visualising energy use patterns of the whole building and each key process, users can start making impactful decisions about how to save energy, money, and carbon.

From our experience we have seen that there are often substantial savings possible based on even basic energy monitoring data. It is then critical to continue to monitor and review the data long term as new insights are created and measures put in place to reduce energy use can start to drift over time.

Changes in hardware and turnover in staff can leave gaps in process and knowledge. A Go Monitor energy monitoring system can baseline your usage and alert you when inefficiencies start to creep back into your organisation.

Modern Architecture

Types of Energy Monitoring

Whole building

Visualise how your whole building, whole business park, or international estate of property assets is using or generating energy. We believe that monitoring your whole building using a high accuracy monitoring system is the foundation of energy reduction and decarbonisation.

The largest gains will be visible at this level and the insights gathered will direct the next best place to direct your efforts for maximum returns. It is also often the easiest and most straightforward solution to deploy, just one measurement point to start the process.

Whole building level monitoring will uncover high usage patterns, as well as revealing issues and opportunities relating to your power quality.

Power Quality Monitoring

We have delivered millions of pounds of energy savings and thousands of tonnes of CO2e reductions by monitoring and optimising power quality for our end users. Gain valuable insights into the health of your electrical system, identify disturbances, and optimise power consumption. Assess your supply voltages, total harmonic distortion, and power factors. Protect your equipment and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Sub-metering

Sub-metering is the process of monitoring each small load within a building. This allows you to visualise the energy flow through individual rooms, machines, processes, or tenants, empowering you to make granular decisions about energy reduction.

Sub-metering can be used for two key benefits. The first being for individual load monitoring. Monitoring individual circuit loads helps you to identify specific inefficiencies and ensure that when an energy saving solution has been deployed, that it continues to stay in place and working effectively to deliver long term savings.

The second being for the accurate allocation of costs. Go Monitor offers MID (measurement instruments directive) compliant sub-metering solutions to help allocate costs within a business, or for billing to tenants. Suitable for office buildings and industrial parks alike, our sub-metering solutions offer excellent value for money, and be deployed quickly giving you the regulated data needed to keep operations moving.

The Go Monitor Cloud Platform has a user hierarchy structure in place so your tenants can also access their own energy usage data. Our solution makes it easy to empower your tenants to reduce their own costs and drive their own sustainability agenda.

Energy Harvesting CTs (Current Transformers)

Go Monitor offers innovative energy harvesting split core CTs. This allows you to quickly deploy wireless sensors without ever needing to change the batteries. The CTs transmit on the LoRaWAN network which can be combined with a range of other sensor technologies, as well as integrate with local BMS (Building Management System) if required.

MID Compliant Energy Monitoring

Go Monitor offer approved MID compliant meters for applications when regulatory compliance is important. If the metering data is going to be used for any form of billing or financial statement, then the meter needs to have a compliant level of accuracy. Please speak to our team for help defining the requirements for your deployment.

Integration with the Go Monitor Cloud Platform

Our energy monitoring solutions seamlessly integrate with The Go Monitor Cloud Platform.

Our platform not only enables you to monitor your energy usage, but it can calculate cost savings in real-time for applications such as VO (voltage optimisation). Carbon savings can be calculated and displayed using live data from the national grid, ensuring your carbon reporting is as accurate as possible.
